👀 Japan will start issuing cards that support CBDC
The organization will prepare a payment platform for the national CBDC, which is currently being tested by the Bank of Japan.
The platform will consist of three main areas - a sensory payment solution, the issuance and provision of plastic cards for CBDC and the simulation of the working environment for the national digital currency.
Earlier, the Bank of Japan said that the digital yen could be launched by 2026.
